RE:PROPER DOCUMENTATION, TERMINATION AND PAYMENT!

Our attention has been called to questions about why we are asking Members of the Baraza Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. who want to terminate their contributions to visit our offices nationwide for proper documentation, termination and payment rather than just paying the funds directly into their account numbers since we have the data of all registered members and contributors.

We therefore write to inform those asking the above question that there is absolutely no way Baraza Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. could know and/or determine those who want to terminate their Contributions without providing the window for such Members to come forward to do so out of their own volition.

So to answer your question, our decision is necessitated by the fact that our Management cannot presume the members who want to terminate theirs and unilaterally go ahead to effect the termination and make the payments as your presume.

Baraza is a responsible Cooperative Society that is governed by rules and procedures that must be followed irrespective of the times.

It is against this backdrop that we called for those among the One Hundred Thousand Naira ( ₦ 100,000.00) Contribution category who do not want to continue with the Cooperative to visit our various offices nationwide to effect their exit in an orderly manner.

We implore every member to be orderly as you visit your branch and work with us to effect a hitchfree documentation, termination and payment process.

Just for the sake of emphasis and clarity, this first phase of documentation, termination and payment is strictly for those among the One Hundred Thousand Naira ( ₦100,000.00) category who do not want to abide by the decision of the last Emergency General Meeting and want to terminate their Contributions now. Therefore it is not for all One Hundred Thousand Naira ( ₦ 100,000.00) contributors, only those who want to terminate. We shall start same for other categories when we are through with this category.

Finally we thank members for your continuous patience, understanding, cooperation and support as we work to serve you better and actualise the BARAZA vision of eradicating poverty in our land through cooperation.

Signed

Management.
